The Ladybug House

1906

The Ladybug House lives in the historic Landmark District of "Craftsman Heights" in Pasadena California. (Formally known as "Orange Heights") and built in 1906 the home is a haven for artists and lovers of nature.

The Ladybug House  is well-known in local and independent music lore as a private creative space and intimate live-recording venue, famously featured on the 2004 album Alive at the Ladybug House by Vic Ruggiero of The Slackers.

Ladybug  House lore exposes a well-known ghost that occupied the small hall between the kitchen and the bathroom. Known for unrolling bathroom tissue into nice, neat little stacks, the entity disappeared after a sage cleansing that accidentally drove them away.

The Ladybug House was also a location for several music videos, most notably, two zombie themed shorts: "Bring My Baby Back for Christmas" by Poeina, and "Dead of Night" by the Tricks.

The curbside view of the Ladybug House has changed many times through the years. Once, a lush green lawn, then a more drought tolerant landscape, to the current rose garden presenting pure Pasadena pride. One constant that brings joy to the neighborhood is the magnificent Meyer lemon tree with the most delicious lemons on the planet!
